Plant Guru’s History

Plant Guru was born online and shied away from the multilevel marketing that many essential oil companies have adopted. No pyramid pricing, just affordable, fair prices, making it approachable to anyone in the market for oils. This is a small family business whose mission and focus is being a company for everyone, not just those looking to make an extra buck. This is definitely one of the reasons I love Plant Guru, they truly want to give you the best quality product and the best price possible.

Quality Control

This company buys their oils from all over the world, and to make sure that all their suppliers meet USDA standards and go through third party testing using GC/MS testing. GC/MS stands for Gas chromatography and Mass Spectrometry. GC is a method used to separate volatile compounds in essential oils into individual parts. All the oils are also 100% therapeutic grade, no chemicals, no pesticides, and no GMOs. In essence, Plant Guru truly cares about the quality of their oils, and in no way do they offer anything less than high quality.

Great Customer Service

One of the most underlooked qualities of an essential oil company is the customer service. It’s important to know you can call your company and get help or feedback quickly and with good results. This company is consistent and answers all your questions in a prompt manner. If you have any questions for them, they will stay on the phone with you and answer any unique or strange question you have—because there are really no bad questions. In general, the customer service is absolutely excellent and is another reason why I love this company.

Top 5 Plant Guru Products

Bandit Blend

Plant Guru’s take on Young Living’s Thieves blend, this blend is perfect for those looking for a cleansing formula. I actually think the Bandit blend is better than YL’s Thieves, it just smells better in my opinion and it’s cheaper! Who doesn’t appreciate that. The aroma is a mixture of clove and cinnamon, not too strong but just enough. You will want to keep stealing sniffs of this blend throughout the day. This is also less greasy than some other blends, which will leave less residue behind. You can use this for various reasons, including as a household cleaner — just mix 1 cup vinegar to 3 cups water and 3-5 drops of bandit for its antibacterial, antiviral, antimicrobial and antifungal properties.  The smell is undeniably wonderful, and I love placing this blend in my essential oil diffuser throughout the day. If you are looking to cleanse your house of germs and bacteria, all the while smelling something delicious, this is the blend for you.

Happy Blend

The Happy Blend is an uplifting formula of spirit lifting aromas including Pink Grapefruit, Lemon, Cinnamon, Ginger, and Peppermint. Diffuse it every night before bed, or place a few drops on your pillow. The scent is strong on the cinnamon and citrus, some people smell one over the other and everyone’s experience tends to be a bit different. If you aren’t a fan of cinnamon, I suggest getting a different blend, as you will be disappointed by this aroma. However, if you are a fan of the cinnamon scent, this will blow you away by how wonderful the fragrance is. You can also use this to help you fall asleep as it relaxes your head and lifts your mood—who knows, you may even getter better dreams! It’s also good to note that the aroma will change when you diffuse it—some people don’t like it upon smelling it when opening the cap, but after putting it through an essential oil diffuser the scent tends to change—some people love that. You’ll get loads of questions from people nearby on what they are smelling, because in my case, everyone loves it.

Sleep Tight Blend

If you’re stressed, having trouble falling asleep, or just can’t calm your mind, this is a great blend to have around the house. Diffuse in the air to create a calm and relaxing atmosphere, or place a few drops on the bottom of your feet before bed. I also like placing a few drops on my pillow to help me doze off into La La land. I usually diffuse this an hour or so before bed and can feel the calming effects of the oils take over my body. I’ve also found this to be great for sore or tight muscles, just mix with a carrier oil and use anywhere you feel tight or sore. As with anything, the smell is subjective—some people found the smell to be strong but dissipated in a diffuser. The only true way to know is to order it and find out for yourself. Luckily, their customer service department is great.

Plant Guru’s Top 6 Synergy Blends

I personally love oil blends and think they are the best way to enter into the essential oil world. If you have trouble getting to sleep, suffer from headaches, have tight muscles, or just need to breathe easier, this kit will help you with it all. Blends allow you to see the power of essential oils and what they’re truly able to do. Each formula has 5 or so individual oils blended together to provide the best outcomes for whatever you’re looking to work on. I’d say this is a grat way to familiarize yourself with individual oils and why they are places in various blends. It’s exciting to learn about essential oils and this is a great way to begin! This kit provides you with 6 awesome blends; Breathe, Stress Relief, Muscle, Sleep Tight, and Head Ease. I’ve had an occasion to use every single one of these, and I’ve only had great results. I think sometimes it’s better to get the kits, because you are getting the full spectrum of the products.

Plant Guru’s Favorite 14 Set

If you’re interested in oils and individual herbs, the Favorite 14 Set is the one you’ve been waiting for. At an incredibly cheap price, 14 oil pack has the most important individual oils you’ll need for any occasion. At first, I was nervous at how inexpensive they were, worried they might be watered down—but not to worry. Plant Guru is the real deal. These are some of the best, high-quality oils for affordable prices. Again, one of the reasons this brand is so affordable is because of Plant Guru’s uninterest in multi-level marketing, this allows the company to decrease their prices overall and offer you a cheaper price. What’s great about getting individual oils is that you have the ability to create your own blends, and see what works best for you. You can experiment with different aromas, blending two or more together to get a nice effect. You can also go online and look for different recipes, such as house cleaning recipes, candles, or blends for asthma, coughs, fevers, or basically anything you want. I love this kit because they give you the most important single herbs that will be important for making varying blends and recipes.

Summary

Plant Guru is one of my favorite essential oil companies. This brand’s awareness of what the public wants, their family owned values, and their lack of interest in the multi-level marketing scheme sets them apart. I truly trust in their quality and high standards and truly respect them for their decision to make oils for their customers and not solely for money. If you are wavering between buying from Young Living or other high profile companies, why not try Plant Guru out? These oils are of great quality, they don’t cost half your paycheck, and your spouse won’t burse a blood vessel looking at the bill every month. I have yet to have a bad experience with them, and I believe you will truly enjoy these oils. If you are a beginner or expert alike, Plant Guru makes some of the best essential oils out there.

I looked at the top 14 single set and it is only 40 percent of the $56 I payed at Plant Therapy. My question have you ever tried PT oils and how do they compare to PG? Also have you tried PG Rosewood, I just received it in the mail for Amazon.
